Ray Spangenburg and Kit Moser are science writers specializing in critical thinking, science, technology, and science history. They are coauthors of more than 50 books and over 100 articles. Two of their books have received recognition as New York Public Library Best Books for the Teen Age: Science History from the Ancients to the Scientific Revolution (Volume 1 of the five-volume series, On the Shoulders of Giants) and Niels Bohr: Gentle Genius of Denmark. Several of their books have enjoyed international publication and have appeared in translation in several languages.

Cofounders of the Sacramento Organization for Rational Thinking (SORT), Spangenburg and Moser are coeditors of the SORTified News. They are also former coeditors of BASIS (The Bay Area Skeptics Information Sheet) and former science editors for Space World Magazine.

Working and living in Carmichael, California, the husband-and-wife writing team have recently completed a 20-book series on space exploration. Their critical thinking look at television news--TV News: Can It Be Trusted?--is just out (spring 2003), and the two are currently at work on a book on genetic engineering.
